A New Way to Style Trays in the Kitchen

If you’re looking for a new way of styling trays in the kitchen, this little corner of mine might give you some inspiration.

This spot in my kitchen holds a Magnolia engraved tray, a thrifted cutting board, and a pretty serving platter, all layered together in a scalloped basket. It’s easy to do… a basket for structure, a few flat pieces layered in at different heights, and a little texture from the woven edges. I do rotate what lives here from time to time (cutting boards have had their turn too), but this tray-and-platter combination is what’s here right now.

The Gold Handle Swap That Sparked Something Bigger

The tray originally had an oil-rubbed bronze handle. Once I set the whole vignette in place, something about it just didn’t feel right. It dawned on me that the tray needed a gold handle instead. I thought I’d just grab some leftovers from the kitchen cabinets, but I didn’t have any left that would fit. So I started searching for new ones, and I came across these beautiful gold handles. They were exactly the pop of contrast this piece needed.

That small swap sparked something much bigger for the rest of my kitchen. More on that soon.
