Let’s paint the Honey Bee Door hanger from my Honey Bee Collection DIY Kit! 🐝

Welcome back, friends!

In this video, I’ll guide you through easy steps to bring this adorable laser-cut Honey Bee Collection DIY Kit to life. Whether you’re new to painting or seeking to add charming bees to your decor, I have a simple and enjoyable craft you will love! I have selected a soft color palette and will list everything below.

 

Supplies I Used:

Fusion Mineral Paint: Champness, Casement, Hazelwood and Buttermilk Cream Saman

Stain: Colonial

Makeup Sponges

Wide Chip Brush for Dry Brushing

Sand Paper

Raffia

Ribbon

Jute

Wood Glue: Titebond Quick & Thick or Aleene’s Tacky Glue

How To:

• Stain the back piece with Saman Colonial Stain.
• Next, using your makeup sponge with light pressure and a little bit of paint, start sponging in an up-and-down motion, basecoat your pieces in the colours you choose. (The video demonstrates this better than I can type it here.)
• Two coats of paint should be enough; however, depending on the paint you are using, you may need three to four coats of white. Lightly sand between each coat and give one light final sanding on the last coat.
• Remove your pieces from the template by removing the painters tape from the back of the wood.
• Using your white chip brush, dry brush all pieces except the stained ones with white.
• Glued pieces together, ensuring you line up your edges flush.
• Add a Rafiei bow and layer with a cute ribbon of your choice.

A 6-inch round that is cute in the scallop frame

A 4.25″ square that works in all of the current interchangeable frames and the new scalloped frames.

Now we can’t forget about the trio of signs—they are darling in my three-layer, scalloped frame!

We also have a couple of pallet signs here  & here that you can hang or sit on an easel.
