Fall 2025 Living Room Tour

Fall 2025 Living Room Tour

There’s just something about the living room in autumn — the way the sunlight shifts in through the windows, the comfort of layered textures, and the warm tones that make the space feel extra welcoming. This year, I’m sharing my Fall 2025 Living Room Tour, filled with thrifted treasures, family heirlooms, and handmade projects that tell our story. One of the simplest changes I made — swapping out my teal lampshades for beautiful oatmeal linen ones — completely transformed the room. That soft neutral linen instantly brightened the space and gave it the timeless, collected feel I was hoping for. I rarely buy new things; most of the time, I just move pieces around for a different look, or give something a fresh coat of paint when I want it to have a new look.

Fall Living Room Decor 2025 – The Sofa Sectional Area

As the seasons turn, one of the first places I love to refresh is our living room. It’s the heart of our home — where we gather, read, and unwind — so it feels natural to let this space set the stage for fall. This year I’m starting my Fall 2025 home tour here, beginning with our cozy sectional area.

Layered Comfort on the Sofa

There’s nothing that says fall quite like layering pillows and throws. On our sectional, I mixed pieces from my shop with a few favorite textures I’ve collected over the years. A pair of warm rust knit pillows instantly adds a cozy autumn feel, while the neutral pillows keep everything balanced. I also tucked in some of my fall watercolor pillow covers, which bring in soft seasonal artwork without overwhelming the space.

Throws are another easy way to add warmth and color. I draped a rust blanket over the end of the chaise and draped a creamy knit one on top, for a layered look. A thrifted tray with a small basket of pinecones and pumpkins rests at the end of the chaise, tying it all together with a casual, welcoming feel. Over the back of the sofa is another throw blanket to curl up with on cool autumn days; also from my shop.

The Sofa Table Story

Behind the sectional, my sofa table is one of my favorite spots to create a seasonal vignette. This year I styled it with a mix of family treasures and vintage finds. At the center sits a wooden book holder displaying a well-loved family Bible reading book — a piece that adds both history and meaning to the room.

On either side, grapevine pumpkins decorated with burlap bows and autumn leaves bring in natural texture. I also worked in a few of my thrifted treasures, like an old wood silverware case, doily and a wicker basket of hydrangeas. To one side, a two-tiered tray holds a collection of small seasonal accents: a brass horse, a bowl of white pumpkins, a thrifted gravy bowl filled with dried flowers, a framed squirrel print, and a stack of vintage books. It’s a gathered look with seasonal charm, proving you don’t have to buy all new decor to create something beautiful.

Coffee Table Charm

In front of the sectional, my coffee table continues the layered story. A woven basket filled with my DIY painted pumpkins and gourds sits in the center, surrounded by greenery and soft textures. I added a candle wrapped with a velvet ribbon and placed everything on top of a simple doily for a touch of vintage softness.

What I love most about this setup is how versatile it can be. In the fall, pumpkins feel right at home, but the idea of layering baskets, greenery, and small decorative pieces works for every season. It’s a simple formula: start with a base, add some height and natural texture, then finish with a seasonal accent like the leaf charm, tutorial found here and a thrifted acorn candle.

Piano & Mantel Vignette

The piano is one of the very first things you see when you come in through the front door, so I wanted it to feel warm and inviting for the season. I decided to take down the gallery wall I had above it last year and replace it with a large gold mirror from Walmart. The mirror adds light and depth to this corner, and it’s a piece I plan to keep in place year-round. Beside it, I left my large thrifted frame filled with an autumn landscape print I ordered from Etsy and had printed at Staples — it’s the perfect backdrop of fields and trees in all their seasonal color.

To add character, I propped up a pair of handmade corbels (watch for a tutorial coming soon on how I gave them their timeworn finish), and tucked in my Scripture of the Week sign from my online shop. For a whimsical touch, I added my pair of vintage ceramic geese.

The centerpiece of the vignette is a wicker vase brimming with fall florals in cream tones, mixed with maple leaves in shades of green and amber. A velvet ribbon tied around the vase brings in that soft texture I love. To the side, a vintage swan planter overflows with greenery and florals, flanked by a thrifted milk glass lamp that I love to turn on first thing in the morning and it’s the last light I turn off at night — giving this spot all the cozy fall feels.

Blanket Ladder, Chair & Harvest Barrel

Beside the piano, I created another cozy fall vignette that quickly became a favorite. A simple wooden blanket ladder holds two throws — a cream knit and a deep green textured blanket — bringing both color and function to the space. Hanging at the top is a round wood sign with the words Home Sweet Home, a little detail that makes this vignette feel complete.

Beside it sits a vintage chair, painted in a worn white finish, styled with a rust Thankful pillow and a crocheted throw. An open bible and a knit pumpkin rest on the seat, giving the sense of a moment paused mid-afternoon.

At the base of the ladder is an old apple barrel brimming with pumpkins form a recent tutorial, and fall foliage. I tucked in a lace doily to soften the look and to give a vintage feel I love, and finished with a tag from my shop. It’s rustic and nostalgic, like something that could have been gathered and collected over the years.

Bay Window with Chair & Side Table

In the bay window, I created a soft and inviting reading nook. One of my vintage chairs is tucked here, draped with a crocheted lace piece across the back and styled with a rust pillow for a pop of fall color.

Next to it, I placed a wrought iron side table topped with a garage sale find; a classic urn filled with a mix of cream florals and russet leaves. I stacked a few vintage books on the surface, tucked a set of coasters nearby, and finished with a small birdie to keep the look charming but simple.

On the floor, a woven basket brims with cozy throws and a fall pillow. This little touch not only adds texture and color but also keeps extra blankets within reach for the cooler evenings. It’s one of those areas that feels practical and pretty all at once.

Antique Cabinet & Rocking Chair Corner

Next to this area is one of my favorite antique pieces — a dark wood cabinet that I use to store my seasonal china. For fall, I styled the top with a handmade oil painting accented with pen and ink in a thrifted frame, my grandma’s silverware wood case, and a pair of my DIY drop cloth pumpkin topiaries tucked into cement urns and tied with soft velvet ribbon. The combination of handmade and heirloom gives this spot such a meaningful touch.

In front of the cabinet, I placed a thrifted vintage rocking chair, draped with a crocheted throw and styled with a warm accent pillow. It’s a piece that feels like it belongs here — perfectly worn, perfectly cozy.

Beside the chair, I styled an old wooden tea cart with layers of seasonal decor. On the top, a wooden caddy I painted overflows with fall florals and greenery, while the bottom shelf holds a row of vintage books, brass duck head bookends, and a floral thrifted lampshade. It’s a collected look that brings history and charm into this corner.

Antique Desk with Crock of Florals

The last corner of my living room holds a family heirloom — an antique desk that came from my husband’s side of the family. It’s a solid, timeworn piece that grounds this area of the room beautifully.

On top, I styled an old crock filled with autumn florals and lamb’s ear greenery, tied with a small leaf charm. Tutorial: here to recreate this look.  A couple of small pumpkins sit alongside, adding texture without crowding the vignette. A woven basket box adds more warmth to the mix.

In front of the desk, I placed a vintage chair and draped it with a plaid blanket in muted fall tones. It’s a corner that feels especially meaningful — a blend of family history and the handmade touches that make seasonal decorating so personal to me.

Bringing It All Together

Every corner of the living room has its own story, whether it’s a thrifted piece, a family heirloom, or a handmade project. Yet together, they all weave into one cozy and inviting fall look. The piano adds height and drama, the bay window nook invites you to pause with a book, the cabinet and rocking chair corner mixes handmade with heirloom, and the blanket ladder and desk corners add personality and warmth.

That’s what I love most about decorating for fall — it isn’t about starting fresh each year, but about layering found and new details into the pieces and spaces that already hold meaning. This year’s living room feels cozy, collected, and ready for all the moments this season will bring.
