Welcome back to my Christmas home tour! Today I’m sharing my Elegant Farmhouse Christmas Dining Room Decor with Blue and Gold Touches. Last year, I decided to keep the dining room simple and classic, with soft tones of navy, white, and gold that carry through from the rest of my Christmas decor.

I’ve been wanting to put a Christmas tree in this corner of the dining room for years, and this season I finally did. The slim pencil tree fits the space perfectly and adds just the right touch of sparkle. I kept the decorations simple — a few gold glitter leaves and some deep blue berries. The gold leaves came from Dollarama years ago, but you’d never know it. They have such a beautiful, high-end look that I’ve used them throughout my decor for years. The blueberries were once full stems from Michaels, and I’ve cut them into smaller pieces to tuck in here and there. Together, they create a look that feels timeless and effortless.

Against the wall sits my grandmother’s vintage china cabinet — one of my favourite pieces to decorate. On top, I placed a few of my DIY textured trees, each one tied with a small wreath and ribbon to give them a new look. These simple additions make them feel festive without being overdone.
Inside the cabinet, my Christmas dishes are on display. My husband and I bought this set together when we were first married — 30 years ago now. They aren’t blue, and they don’t really match the navy, white, and gold decor I’ve used this year. In fact, they’re red! But they hold so much meaning, and every December, I bring them out again. Some things are worth keeping simply because they’re part of our story.
I don’t have a photo of them to share in this post, but stay tuned for this year’s Christmas dining room reveal — I’ll be sure to include them then. (You can catch a quick glimpse of them in some of the photos)

The table decor is cozy and minimal this year. I layered a creamy white textured runner down the center, and in the middle sits a blue-and-white bowl I found at a garage sale this summer. It reminded me of Delft pottery, so I couldn’t resist. Inside, I tucked in a few pieces of fall greenery, pinecones, and navy Christmas balls to tie the look together.
It’s a soft, natural arrangement that feels peaceful yet still festive. Sometimes less truly is more.

Above the table, my white chandelier glows gently — it’s one of those pieces that feels right for every season. The thrifted mirror behind it still takes center stage in this room, resting on the vintage china cabinet. I’ve had that mirror for years, and its worn blue-gray frame fits perfectly with my farmhouse cottage style. Between the shimmer of gold, the soft navy accents, and those timeless vintage pieces, this space feels both cozy and elegant.

Even though I’ve kept things simple this year, there’s something so special about this space. The dining room has always been where we gather — to share meals, fellowship, and play games around the table. Every piece in this room tells a story, from the red Christmas dishes my husband and I bought when we were first married to the textured trees and gold leaves I’ve carried through the years.
It’s a space filled with meaning, laughter, and love. And while I rarely keep everything the same from year to year, the warmth of these moments never changes. That’s what makes decorating for Christmas so meaningful — not just how it looks, but how it feels when everyone comes together.
