There’s something special about bringing a handmade touch into your seasonal decor. In this project, I’ll show you how to create a DIY Fall Plant Pot with Chalk Couture Autumn Accents — a simple craft that turns an ordinary found pot into a cozy autumn accent. With just a bit of paint, wax, and a beautiful silk screen transfer, you can make a unique piece that feels right at home in your fall decorating.
Whether you tuck it onto a shelf, add it to your mantle, or use it as a centerpiece, this project is an easy way to create something cozy for your home.

Below you’ll find the step by step, but if you’d like to see the process in action, you can watch my full DIY tutorial over on YouTube.
I started with a simple found pot. A quick cleaning made it ready for paint.
Using Fusion Mineral Paint in Cashmere, I covered the pot with a warm, creamy base coat. Once dry, I added clear wax to help protect the surface and the transfer.
The star of this project is the Chalk Couture Autumn Accents silk screen transfer. After fuzzing the transfer with the fuzzing cloth, I pressed it onto the pot. Then I spread on Camel paste with the a squeegee, then carefully pulling the transfer away to reveal the beautiful leaf pattern.
Once dry, I added more clear wax, then used dark antique wax to give it depth and a gently aged finish.A quick wipe with a lint-free paper towel removed any extra wax, I repeated a couple time until I achieved the look I wanted. I added my favorite greenery to finish the look.

This little project came together in about 15 mins and adds the perfect autumn touch to my home. I love the leaf details and how it adds charm to my fall decor.
