I don’t know if you have noticed the trend that is going around making Christmas trees, mittens, stars and more with the dollar tree stick on tin tile?! Well I had this idea to make a set of trees, but I cannot get my hands on those tin tiles. So I decided to use textured, paintable wallpaper! I love how these trees turned out and I think you will as well!
There’s four different sizes as you can see and two different textures to choose from. Kits are available in 24″, 18″, 12″ and an 8″. The 24″ and 18″ come with bases. The 12″ & 8″ have the option to add on a base. I tried to choose two different textures that could work for many different decor styles. One is a more simple modern look and takes on the look of burlap. The other texture is more of a classic and tradition style, that still fits in many different decor styles. I kept my colours neutral with a little bit of metallic in some of them. But you can have creative freedom to use whatever colours you would like. So let’s get started!
The 24″ and 18″ kit comes with your wood cut out, two pieces of your desired textured wallpaper, to make it double sided. (Remember there’s two different ones to choose from.) It comes with a wood tag, jute, some greenery and vinyl words to put on your tag and step by step instructions. Plus you will have a step-by-step video tutorial that is posted below as well. 🙂
I will make another blog post later on to show you how I’ve decorated my home with these trees. Once I get trees done for myself that is… For now I’m going to leave you with some close-up photos of these trees so that you can see the texture! Be sure to leave a comment below if you have any questions. Also feel free to share photos of your trees that you have made by tagging me on Instagram!
